After 1 1/2 months of my disappearing act, i'm back again. haha, stop bugging me to blog. I'm lazy and you know it. I have a right to be. :P
So last night was a BLAST. Was a record breaker for me since i saw 4 movies in a single day...like woooaaahh. Watched Scary movie 3, The gospel of john, Constantine then The white chick when i got home. By the time i was done was about 3:45am or smth...lol. Think i'm nuts, seriously.
Scary movie 3 was very very LAME. Everyone was telling me it's not scary at all and very funny and all that...when i watched it everyone was laughing like hell and i just sat there and stared most of the time. I actually thought it was really corny and lame. I didn't really laugh laugh...just stared at the screen...most of the time i was like, "very funny meh?" but i just kept quiet. Since everyone else was having a good time, i didn't wanna be a party pooper, so i just watched the show.
Gospel of john was enlightening since i never really read the bible. Never been a staunch christian or anything, so it was like a visual reading of the bible for me. Though most of the time i was a little confused and lost about some parts, i didn't wanna disturb or spoil the moments since it was a little painful at some parts. Though it was draining and a "heavy" movie, it was a different experience, so i'm not complaining. :)
Was at Jin's house to watch these movies, so we had a good time. I didn't expect maryann to make it later, but when she called at the last minute and said she could come, we were like YAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! So it was a real gang meeting for real for the first time in a long long time. It felt really really good to come together and to just spend time with each other. Played blackjack for a short while since jin had to go soon. It was kinda hilarious since we were just taking cards freely and going "yaye i win!! yaye i busted! yaye i got XX!" or smth...lol. We were just being our ridiculous selves, haha.
We don't usually do things at the spur of the moment, but we were all screaming to watch Constantine...so we decided to take our chances in town. I actually suggested going to bishan since it was nearby and we don't have to beat the crowd, but maryann suggested we go to town...i was like ok, though i knew there wasn't going to be anymore seats in town since it was a saturday night.
True enough, there wasn't anymore seats for any of the shows in PS. So we rushed down to suntec city to take our chances. If all else fails, we'd have to rush to marina square to check out the tickets. Being as desperate as we were, we just took the 9+ show even though it was first row tickets...-_-" can u imagine the strain we'd have it being an action movie...all the CG effects BAM! in your face...lol. Since it was only 7+, we went to coffee bean to chillout in the meantime and just talked shiate.
Constantine was not bad, CG effects were coooooooolll. I dind't really get the story since it was all over the place...either that or the actors talked wayyyy too fast. Keanu Reeves was oogle eye candy...lol! Loved his character's tongue-in-cheek approach to life...somewhere along the lines of "This is constantine. John Constantine, asshole." though in the original comic series, the guy was suppose to be blonde and english, i think keanu did well for the movie. And it was one of the very few movies where the guy and girl don't kiss in the end, lol! I expected them to in the end, but they didn't, so i was like "FINALLY a movie where they dont kiss and makeup..." lol!! But i guess if you wanna understand the movie better, it's best to have some background of the history of gabriel and baltazar since it concerns heaven and hell. I figured jin won't approve of that kinda movie being a staunch christian as she is. Staunch believers in Christ won't be too happy with the movie since it's kinda warped, but if you're a CG and action junkie like me, then it's worth watching. I thoguht the cross thing he had in the poster was a puny crossbow, it was only after the movie that i realised that it was actualyl a small machine gun of sorts, lol. Wish i could do that kinda effects in Photoshop though...i really should experiment with it one of these days. I'd die a happy woman if i were that good in CG effects man...like wow.
Went back and took a bath...after that i couldn't sleep, so i turned to star movies and realised the hot chick just started, so i just watched it for the heck of it. Many friends were going on about how hilarious it was and stuff, but throughout the whole movie i was sporting a sarcastic eyebrow raise during the entire show. i didn't laugh at all...was just going "oh please..." at the show...it was then i realised, it was either my funny bone is not working or my friend's funny bone is wayyyyy overactive. It got me thinking how hard it was for me to laugh anymore. Though i laugh really hard with my good friends and their ridiculous antics, it's hard for me to laugh and anything else much anymore. Either that or movies are getting cornier and cornier by the minute. Oh well, maybe life's gotten too much to me that anything humourous ain't funny anymroe, i don't know.
Maybe i come across as someone too serious. Reminds me of one time i was in class waiting for the lecturer when maryann called and i was laughing like hell with her on the phone..once i hung up my classmate looked at me and said "i've never seen u laugh so hard or so much before...are u okay?" i was like "umm...yeah y?" then she was like "oh no lah...u usually so stone and serious...never seen this side of you before..." so i was like "oh ok..." it's funny how pple act so differently with different people they hang out with...oh well. i guess i still like that fact that pple think i'm this moody serious girl so that they'll leave me alone...haha. Complexity and deep...i liiiiike. if i'm complex and deep in the first place, lol.
i should be doing my work now...and i'm not, as usual. damn..i really gotta get rid of this lazy bug one of these days...if i ever get down to it, haha. seeu guys around. long updates once in a while isn't as bad as short updates everyday ain't it? ha....i'm making excuses again, lol.
